The collection of ontologies, auto-generated from TC-211 UML models, that were housed on this page have been removed.
This is because the Group on Ontology Maintenance, GOM, is now considering how to better create and deliver ontologies in new was from November 2025, onwards after the recent work to publish TC-211 codelist vocabularies via the Open Geospatial Consortium’s 'Rainbow' platform.
Please visit this page after the November 2025 TC-211 Plenary session in Gothenburg for updates to ontology republication.

Codelist PIDs in place
Persistent identifiers for Codelists and Code Sets have been implemented using the def.isotc211.org namespace.
Codelist vocabs hosted by OGC
The ISO/TC 211’s GOM has worked with the OGC to host many of the TC’s standards' codelists as Semantic Web vocabularies using the OGC’s reference data platform known as the 'OGC Rainbow'.
ISO/TC 211 site migration completed!
The ISO/TC 211 resources site have been migrated from the Norwegian Mapping Authority, Kartverket, to the new provider Ribose.
